CINDY AMARAL

I am getting very excited and a little anxious at the same time. In some ways six months seems like a very long time to be away from home, but on the other hand, six months go by extremely fast. I feel a huge responsibility as well—I realize the kids watch MY reaction to so many situations...so therefore I have to look fearless, act mature and have the patience of a saint—so much pressure!

I too will miss family, friends and my house, but I also feel like this will be a life changing/enhancing experience for me. I am perfectly content where I am now, but maybe it is time to live "outside the box" for six months!

What aspect of the trip are you most looking forward to?
It is difficult to say only several things I look forward too—I truly look forward to so many things—just being together as a family and watching each other grow and change would have to top my list. The kids are growing up so fast right now and I feel like this is really an experience that all of us can do together and keep in our hearts for a lifetime. Time is so precious. And.... I'm looking forward to flying first class (someone waiting on ME???!!!)

Where are you most excited about visiting?
I look forward to seeing the countries that Greg and I visited 17 years ago on our first around the world adventure, but this time through my own more "mature" eyes and through my children's eyes as well.

Cindy's mantras for this adventure are good advice:
Attitude is everything!
Go with the flow.
Celebrate the differences!
