GINA DeLEON

She first met Cindy Amaral at jury duty—even though she taught at the same school the Amaral children attended, none were in her class. Eventually, both were excused from jury service, but Gina was invited to come along on the adventure of a lifetime. See why it's important to do your civic duty? You never know what might happen....

What aspect of the trip are you most looking forward to?
I am really excited to experience the music of the other countries. I would love to visit the Christian churches and see what their worship is like. I am also excited to see what the food is like, although, I don't know how open I will be to trying everything.

How do you think this trip will change you?
I hope that this trip will help me to understand people better... I've never seen true poverty. I hope to be more compassionate and empathetic towards people's needs.

What about other cultures do you most want to understand?
I'd like to understand why they believe in what they do.

Where are you most excited about visiting?
Easy... the Galapagos Islands and Australia. You've gotta love the Croc Hunter.

If you could give anything to those you meet, what would you give?
I hope that I would be able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those I meet, and if not verbally, show them His love.
